How to start watch mode in the Guard Mobile App?

The Watch Mode feature in the GuardsPro Guard Mobile App allows guards to capture and upload media directly from their assigned location. Guards can use Watch Mode to record photos, videos, and audio to document incidents, observations, or routine activities in real time.

This feature enables guards to document incidents, observations, or routine checks in real-time, enhancing transparency, accountability, and communication between the field and the security management team.

Prerequisites

Before using Watch Mode, make sure:

• You have access to the GuardsPro Guard Mobile App.
• You are logged in with your guard account.
• Your company has access to the Watch Mode feature.
• Your device has the required permissions enabled for the camera, microphone, and media, depending on the type of Watch Mode entry you want to create.
• You are assigned to the post sites

✅ Follow the steps below to start watch mode in the GuardsPro Guard Mobile App.

Step1. Open Watch Mode

Log in to the GuardsPro Guard Mobile App.

From the Home screen, tap the Watch Mode icon.

Step 2. Create a New Watch Mode Entry

The Watch Mode screen displays your previously created Watch Mode entries.

To create a new entry, tap New Watch Mode at the bottom of the screen.

Important: If you want to create a Watch Mode entry for a specific post site, make sure you check in to the respective post site first. This ensures that the Watch Mode entry is associated with the correct post site.

Step 3. Select the Media Type

Select the type of media you want to capture:

• Audio – Record an audio file.

• Video – Record a video.

• Image – Capture a photo.

Once you select the Image option and capture a photo, or complete and submit an Audio or Video recording, the Watch Mode entry will be automatically submitted along with the respective media file.

If you do not want to continue, tap Cancel to return to the previous screen without submitting the entry.

Important Notes

• Once a Watch Mode entry is submitted through the mobile app, it cannot be edited or deleted by the guard from the app.
• If a submitted Watch Mode entry needs to be changed or removed, a manager or admin must make the necessary changes through the GuardsPro back-office dashboard.
• Always check in to the appropriate post site before creating a Watch Mode entry if you want the entry to be associated with that location.

That's it! You can now use Watch Mode to quickly capture and submit photos, videos, or audio recordings from your assigned post site.
