How to Scan Tags on the Guard Mobile App?

Scanning tags using the GuardsPro Mobile App is a fast and efficient way for guards to confirm their presence at specific checkpoints, without having to navigate through the defined Site Tour option.
This feature enables instant tag reporting with accurate timestamps and location data, making it especially useful for quick patrols or on-the-go scanning.

Follow the steps below to scan tags successfully:

To get started, Log into the GuardsPro app and select the Post Site option next to the Home screen.



Choose your assigned post site from the list and tap Check-In to begin your shift. After checking in, tap on Scan Tags to directly start scanning the site tour checkpoints. This will take you directly to the tag scanning interface.


 

Next, you will see four tag options to scan,

• QR Tags

• NFC Tags

• Virtual Tags

• BLE Beacon Tags

Scan the Tag

• Tap on the appropriate tag type (e.g., QR Tag, NFC Tag, Virtual Tag, or BLE Beacon Tag).

• A scanning screen will appear. Point your device at the QR code or hold it near an NFC tag to scan. For Virtual Tags: Automatically scan based on your GPS location. And for Ble beacons the ble beacons device connect with the guards device via bluetooth.

Once the tags are successfully scanned, the tag details will be displayed with its detail. 

You may add any required notes or media files (e.g., photos or videos) before submitting. Tap Submit to complete the tag scan. The checkpoint will be logged in the system.

If the user does not wish to add any notes, they can simply click the Skip option available at the bottom of the screen.

You can also use the Site Tour feature to scan the tags and track checkpoint completion as part of an assigned site tour.
