The Site Tour feature in GuardsPro makes it simple to define multiple tours for a post site and place tags at each checkpoint, ensuring guards complete their site tours as scheduled. Using the GuardsPro Mobile App, guards can scan these tags to record their activity, giving admins complete visibility into patrols. GuardsPro supports QR Tags, NFC Tags, Virtual Tags, and BLE Beacons, offering flexibility to meet different operational requirements.
✅ This guide will walk you through the steps to create and manage site tour tags in the Back Office Dashboard:
🧭 Step 1: Navigate to Site Tour Tags
From the Clients tab → Post Sites, select the post site where you want to add tags.
Under the Site Tour Tags tab, you’ll see options to create QR, NFC, Virtual, or BLE Beacon tags. Select the tag type you want to work with from the top bar and then click New Tag to begin.
🔖 Step 2: Create QR Tags
Fill in the required fields, and GuardsPro will automatically generate a Tag ID. Use the Map Location button to select latitude and longitude.
Once created, QR tags can be downloaded or printed directly. You can also view, edit, or delete them using the three‑dot menu next to each tag.
GuardsPro also allows you to select multiple tags at once and print them collectively. Simply select the tags you wish to print, then use the Action button to print them together. This feature saves time by allowing you to print multiple QR tags at once instead of printing each one individually.
📲 Step 3: Create NFC Tags
Enter the required details, and a unique Tag ID will be automatically generated. Use the Map Location button to select latitude and longitude. Then, write the exact Tag ID onto the NFC tag using a third‑party NFC Tools app. Ensure the ID is entered exactly as generated, as it is case‑sensitive. For guidance, refer to the How to write NFC Tags using NFC Tool App?
📍 Step 4: Create Virtual Tags
For Virtual Tags, fill in all the required details, define the geofence radius, and use the map at the bottom of the page to place the pin.
To find the exact location for placing the pin, use the + button on the map to zoom in as much as possible. Adjust the map position as needed, then click on the exact location where you want to create the tag.
Guards must have location services enabled and be within the geofence area to scan the tag successfully.
Please Note: Avoid creating geofence‑based tags for multi‑story buildings; they work best in open or single‑level areas.
📡 Step 5: Create BLE Beacons
BLE Beacons are small wireless devices that transmit Bluetooth signals. To set them up, fill in the required fields, enter the UUID generated by the beacon device, and use the Map Location button to capture latitude and longitude. Ensure the UUID is entered in the correct format (e.g., XXXXXXXX‑XXXX‑XXXX‑XXXX‑XXXXXXXXXXXX with dashes).
⚙️ Step 6: Configure Additional Settings
While creating a tag, you can enable the option “Ask guards specific questions after they scan the tag.” If turned ON, you can design a custom form with questions that guards can answer immediately after scanning.
📦 Step 7: Ordering Tags and Beacons
Please note that GuardsPro does not provide these tags or beacons directly. Clients must purchase them from certified vendors or the vendors of their choice:
