Adding skill sets and departments in the GuardsPro Back Office Dashboard empowers admins to assign specific skills and departments to guards. This makes it convenient to schedule shifts based on client or post site requirements.
By organizing guards with skill sets and departments, scheduling becomes more efficient, structured, and tailored to operational needs. You can easily create, assign, edit, activate, or deactivate these categories as required.
📌 Prerequisites
Before enabling this setting, ensure:
Guards are already added to the system.
Admin has access to the Settings section in the GuardsPro Back Office Dashboard.
Skills and departments are clearly defined for scheduling purposes.
✅ This guide will walk you through the steps to enable and create skill sets and department on the Back Office Dashboard:
✅ Adding Skill Set
🏢 Step 1: Access Settings
Click on your Company name in the top‑right corner of the dashboard.
Select Settings from the drop‑down menu.
🛠️ Step 2: Open Skill Set Tab
Navigate to the Skill Sets tab.
Click on the New Skill Set button.
📝 Step 3: Enter Skill Set Details
On the next screen, add the name and description of the skill.
You can assign the skill set to multiple guards or an individual guard here.
Once done, click Save to successfully add the skill set.
⚙️ Step 4: Manage Skill Sets
To edit the name, description or to assign a skill set to guards not assigned earlier, click on the three dots → Edit.
You can also activate, deactivate, or delete a skill set.
📌 Note: To schedule shifts based on skill sets, make sure the skills are assigned to the guards.
✅ Adding Department
🏢 Step 5: Access Settings
Click on your Company name in the top‑right corner of the dashboard.
Select Settings from the drop‑down menu.
🛠️ Step 6: Open Departments Tab
Under the Departments tab, click on New Department.
📝 Step 7: Enter Department Details
Add the Department name and description.
You can assign guards to the department here or choose to do it later.
⚙️ Step 8: Manage Skill Sets
You can use the action button to select entries in bulk and delete them.
You can also use the search bar to quickly narrow down and locate specific departments.
Additionally, use the three‑dot menu right next to the entry to edit, delete, or deactivate a department.
