How to enable shift start notifications for guards on the Back Office Dashboard?

GuardsPro gives you the convenience of sending shift start notifications directly to guards on their GuardsPro Mobile App. This ensures shifts are always covered, guards are on time, and admins maintain better control over site operations.

Notifications can be enforced globally for all guards or individually for specific guards, depending on your needs.

📌 Prerequisites

Before enabling shift start notifications, ensure:

• Guards are already added to the Back Office Dashboard.

• Guards have scheduled shifts assigned to them.

• The required notification settings are enabled.

• Guards have an active internet connection on their devices to receive notifications through the Guard Mobile App.

👥 For All Guards

🏢 Step 1: Access Settings  

• Click on your Company name in the top‑right corner of the dashboard. 

• Select Settings from the drop‑down menu.

⚙️ Step 2: Open Global Guard Settings &  Enable Shift Start Notification

• Navigate to Global Settings and click Security Guard.

• Under the Notifications tab, select Send shift start notification before option.

• Define the time for the system to automatically notify guards before the shift starts.

• Click Save.

👤 For Individual Guards

👥 Step 3: Access Security Team  

• From the main menu, click on Security Team.

• Select Security Guards from the drop‑down.

👤 Step 4: Select Guard Profile & Enable Shift Start Notification

• Click on the guard for whom you want to enable the shift start notification.

• Navigate to the Settings tab. 

• Under the Notifications section, select Send shift start notification before option.

• Define the time for the system to automatically notify the guard before the shift starts.

• Click Save.
