The Developer Access Token section allows you to generate and manage API tokens used to securely connect external systems with GuardsPro. These tokens act as authentication keys, ensuring that only authorized applications can access your account data.
This feature gives developers and organizations greater control over integrations, making it easier to configure, test, and maintain connections with internal tools or third-party platforms.
To integrate GuardsPro with your internal systems or third-party tools, you’ll need to generate a Public API Token. This token acts as a secure key, allowing your external applications to "talk" to your GuardsPro dashboard safely.
👤 Permissions
Only users with Super Admin access have permission to generate and manage API tokens.
This restriction helps maintain security and prevents unauthorized access.
✅Here's a step-by-step guide to generate developer access tokens for GuardsPro APIs :
Log in to your GuardsPro Back Office Dashboard. From the top right corner, click on your company name and select Settings from the dropdown. Then, from the left-hand menu, scroll down to the Developer Access section and click on Request Logs to view the developer request logs.
Creating a New Access Token
Click the + New Access Token button in the upper-right corner of the page, and you will get access to the new token. You can copy and store the full token immediately.
Further, you’ll see a list of all generated access tokens with:
Access Token : The masked token value (only the last few characters are visible for security.
Created Date : When the token was generated
-
Expiry Date : When the token will expire and become invalid
Each token row includes a copy icon next to the token to quickly copy the full value, and a three-dot menu for delete actions.
Best Practices
Rotate tokens regularly – Create new tokens before old ones expire to avoid service interruptions
Revoke unused tokens – Delete any tokens no longer in use to minimize security risks
Monitor usage – Check the Request Logs section to track API calls and identify unusual activity
