Assigning a department to a guard helps you organize your workforce efficiently and streamline management. By linking guards to specific departments, you can easily track responsibilities, improve reporting, and maintain a clear organizational structure.
✅ Step-by-Step guide to assign a department to a guard on the Back-Office Dashboard:
To get started, click on Security Team from the main menu and select Security Guard from the dropdown. Then, choose the guard you want to assign to a department.
Next, navigate to the "Department" tab in the submenu and click the "Assign Department" button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
On the pop-up screen, choose the desired department from the list and click Assign. The guard has now been successfully assigned to the selected department.
Note: Before assigning a department, ensure that the department has been created in the system. If you haven't set up departments yet, refer to our guide on How to Enable and Create Skillsets and Departments for detailed instructions.
To unassign an individual department from an assigned guard, simply click the three dots next to the assigned department, select Unassign, and confirm the action.
To unassign multiple departments at once, select all the desired departments by checking the boxes next to them, then click the Action button and choose Unassign from the dropdown menu and confirm the action pop on the next screen—it’s that simple.
