Managing when guards can view their assigned shifts is an important part of effective scheduling. With GuardsPro, you can plan shifts well in advance and choose exactly when they become visible to guards. The Publish & Unpublish feature allows you to control shift visibility with ease — helping you finalize schedules, reduce confusion, and ensure guards are notified only when shifts are ready.
✅ This guide will walk you through how to publish or unpublish shifts directly from the Back-Office Dashboard in just a few quick steps.
Go to the Scheduler tab from the main navigation menu and select Schedule.
Further, you can use the filters to view the schedules for any specific client, post site, guard, or view the details of the shifts based on type and status for a specific time period.
Now, click the three-dot menu next to Filters and select Publish & Unpublish.
Next, choose the Client, Post Site, Guard, and Date Range for the shifts you would like to update.
You will then see two separate tabs displaying:
Published Shifts
Unpublished Shifts
Select the tab that aligns with the action you want to take — Publish or Unpublish — and confirm your selection.
That’s it! Your shift status will be instantly updated, and if published, guards will be notified right away through the mobile app.

🔄 Publishing/Unpublishing Multiple or Individual Shifts
You can also publish or unpublish shifts directly from the schedule view — either one at a time or in bulk.
Select the date containing the shift(s) you want to update.
To modify multiple shifts, click Multiple Select.
A selection bar will appear at the bottom — choose Select All or manually select specific shifts.
Select Publish or Unpublish and confirm your action.
This quick method helps you efficiently manage shift visibility without leaving the scheduler screen.
