How to assign shifts to various guards based on pay rate and scheduled hours?

GuardsPro makes guard scheduling convenient by allowing you to schedule and assign shifts to guards based on the pay rate, hours already worked and overtime. This helps in making sure that all the human and financial resources are allocated properly and the security guards do not feel overwhelmed or underutilized in the shift allocation.

You can assign guards based on the previously mentioned criteria right at the time of scheduling, follow these simple steps: 

To schedule a guard, start by navigating to the Scheduler tab in the main menu and selecting Schedule from the dropdown. Then, click on the desired date for the shift.

You’ll be presented with multiple options: you can create a standard or an open shift from scratch, build and save a new shift template, or use an existing one by selecting the "Create shift from template" option. This flexible scheduling setup allows you to efficiently assign shifts based on your operational needs.

If you choose to create a standard shift, begin by entering all the required details one by one. Once a post site is selected, you’ll see a list of guards assigned to it, along with their pay rates, scheduled hours, and availability.

You can assign one or multiple guards, set break times, and configure the shift’s repeat frequency and duration—up to six months in advance. After completing the setup, click Publish to make the shift live immediately or Create to publish it later. Guards receive instant notifications via the GuardsPro mobile app to confirm the shift created.
