Managing shift schedules accurately is critical to ensuring smooth operations and consistent guard coverage. The Back-Office Dashboard enables admins or manager to quickly edit or delete shifts whenever changes are needed.
The Edit and Delete Shifts feature allows authorized users to update existing shift details or remove shifts entirely from the schedule. This ensures shift assignments remain accurate when there are changes in guard availability, site requirements, or operational needs. With GuardsPro’s powerful security guard scheduling module, shifts can be edited in just a few simple steps—saving time and reducing scheduling errors.
✅Here's a step-by-step guide to edit and delete scheduled shifts on the Back-Office Dashboard:
Edit Shifts
Begin by clicking the Scheduler tab in the main menu, then select Schedule from the dropdown. You can use the available filters to view schedules by client, post site, or guard, or to review shifts based on type, status, and selected time period.
To edit a shift, locate the required shift, click the three-dot (⋮) menu, and select Edit.

On the next screen, make the necessary changes to the shift details. Once you are satisfied with the updates, you can choose to update or publish the shift.
Selecting Publish will save the changes and immediately notify the assigned guards through the GuardsPro Mobile App. The Update Shift option, on the other hand, saves the changes without sending notifications, allowing you to publish them at a later time. That’s all—editing a shift in GuardsPro is quick and easy.

Update a Series of Shifts in One Go
When a shift is created as a recurring schedule for a specific period, you can edit or delete the entire series at once instead of updating each shift individually.
To edit a series of shifts:
Locate the recurring shift in the schedule. Click the Edit icon for the shift. Choose whether you want to edit only this shift or the entire series. Confirm your selection in the pop-up window. Make the required changes, then select Update or Publish to save them.
This allows you to quickly apply changes across multiple shifts, saving time and ensuring consistency.

When you edit a series of shifts, the changes are automatically applied to all shifts in the series.
To delete shifts:
Simply click the three-dot (⋮) menu on the shift and select Delete from the dropdown. You can choose to delete only the selected shift or the entire series of shifts. Confirm your selection in the pop-up window to complete the action.

Delete Multiple Shifts in One Go
To delete multiple shifts at once, click the three-dot (⋮) menu and select Select Multiple from the dropdown menu.
You can then choose the shifts you want to remove and confirm the deletion.

Select all the shifts you want to remove, then click Delete from the bottom menu to complete the action.
