The GuardsPro Messenger provides a centralized platform for real-time communication between guards and back-office users. The group chat feature allows multiple users to communicate within a shared conversation. You can create a general group chat or a post site-specific group chat to keep communication focused on a particular post site and its team.
π Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:
- You have access to the Messenger module.
- The Messenger module is enabled for your company.
- The users you want to add are registered in GuardsPro.
β This guide will show you how to create a general or post site-specific group chat in Messenger on the Back Office Dashboard:
π§ Access Messenger
From the main menu, click Messenger.
Once the Messenger screen opens, click Add New at the top of the chat list and select New Group.
π¬ Create a General Group Chat
In the New Group window, enter a name for the group in the Group Name field.
To create a general group chat, leave the Post Site field unselected. Next, select the required users from the available list. Both back office users and guards can be added to the group.
Once you have selected the required users, click Create. The group chat will be created, and members can begin communicating and sharing information.
π Create a Post Site-Specific Group Chat
To create a group chat for a specific post site, enter a name for the group in the Group Name field and select the relevant Post Site in the New Group window after entering the group name.
Use the Search User field or scroll through the available users to select the required members.
Once you have entered the required details and selected the users, click Create. The group chat will be associated with the selected post site, helping keep communication focused on that site and its team.
βοΈ Manage the Group Chat
Once the group is created, you can manage the conversation using the available options. You can:
- View the group details.
- Enable One-Way Conversation.
- Leave the group.
- Archive the chat.
π― That's it! You can now create a general or post site-specific group chat in Messenger, helping keep team communication organized, centralized, and relevant to the right users.
