Notifications in GuardsPro are designed to keep back office users informed about crucial updates. They ensure that all stakeholders receive timely and relevant alerts, helping maintain smooth operations and quick responses.
By configuring Notification Settings, each back-office user can choose how they want to receive notifications for their own account—on the Back Office Dashboard, via email, or through SMS. This gives each user control over their preferred notification channels, helping them stay informed about important updates.
Note: These preferences apply only to the individual user’s account and do not affect the notification settings of other back-office users.
📌 Prerequisites
Before managing notifications for back‑office users, make sure:
The back‑office user must be able to log in to the GuardsPro Back Office Dashboard.
A valid email address and phone number should be added and verified in the user profile to enable email/SMS notifications.
For SMS notifications, ensure the SMS Engine module is active under Subscription → Modules.
✅ This guide will walk you through the steps to manage back-office user notifications on the Back Office Dashboard:
🏢 Step 1: Access Settings
Click on your Company name at the top‑right corner of the dashboard.
Select Settings from the drop‑down.
🔔 Step 2: Configure Notification Preferences
Navigate to the Notifications tab. Here, you can:
Enable notifications on the dashboard.
Set up email notifications.
Activate SMS notifications.
Select the events you’d like notifications for under your preferred medium, then click Save Changes.
📌 Note: These notification options — especially SMS — can only be enabled if the SMS Add‑On Module is activated for the company.
📱 Step 3: Enable SMS Notifications
To use SMS notifications, ensure a contact number is added to the system and is verified:
Go to the User Profile tab.
Click Edit and add your contact number.
When you click on Confirm your number, you will receive a verification code on the entered number.
Enter the code and click Verify to complete the setup.
🌍 Step 4: Manage Geofence Notifications
For back-office users to receive geofence notifications when guards enter or exit a geofence, these notifications must first be enabled for the relevant post site first.
To enable them, navigate to Global Settings > Post Site, turn on the required geofence notifications, and Save the changes.
🎯 That’s it! Managing back office users notifications on the GuardsPro Back Office Dashboard is simple and efficient. By following these steps, you can stay updated with crucial alerts, ensure timely communication, and keep your operations running smoothly.
