Estimates help security companies provide clients with a professional and detailed breakdown of expected security service costs before generating an invoice. This may include guard services, patrol schedules, monitoring charges, equipment costs, or other operational expenses.
Editing an estimate on the Back Office Dashboard allows you to update client information, revise service details, adjust pricing, modify deployment schedules, or correct any errors before sending the estimate to the client or converting it into an invoice. Keeping estimates accurate helps maintain clear communication with clients, ensures proper billing, and supports efficient financial management for your security operations
✅This guide will walk you through editing an estimate on the Back Office Dashboard:
Click on Invoicer from the main menu and select Estimates. From the list of existing estimates, locate and click on the estimate you would like to edit.
On the next screen, click on Edit Estimate. Update the required information, such as client details, estimate date, expiry date, products and services, quantity, rate, discount value, and other relevant details. Once the necessary changes have been made, click on Save and Continue to update the estimate.
Further, you can review the updated estimate and access additional options from the same screen, such as downloading the estimate, sending the estimate to the client, marking it as sent, marking the deposit as paid, approving the estimate, and more.
Important Notes
- Only users with the required permissions can edit estimates.
- Make sure to review all changes before saving the estimate.
- You can also resend the updated estimate to the client after saving the changes by using the Send Estimate option from the Action menu.
