Vacant shifts give the admin the convenience of creating shifts for a future date. These vary from the regular shifts in a way that these are visible to the admin, not the guards. The admin may choose to discard the shift later or publish the same.
To create a vacant shift, follow these simple steps:
Click on the Scheduler tab from the main menu and select Schedule from the drop-down. Next, click on the date for which the guard has to be scheduled and select the shift template. Next, click on the type of shift you want to create.
Add all the details, but do not assign the shift to any guard. Simply click on Create and a vacant shift is created. It is highlighted in red in the schedule.
If you want to edit the vacant shift, click on the three dot icon and select Edit from the dropdown menu, make the necessary changes and click on Update.
To publish the shift simply assign the shift to the guards to the defined post site and click on Publish. The assigned guards will be notified about the assigned shift on their GuardsPro Mobile App.
Note: You can create a vacant shift for up to six months in advance, but every shift has to be assigned to guards and then published individually.
