Last-minute client requirements can be unpredictable, and sometimes guards are needed urgently at specific post sites. GuardsPro makes it easy to handle these situations with Open Shifts. These shifts can be created and published quickly, allowing available guards to pick them up based on their availability. This not only helps meet urgent staffing needs but also allows guards to work additional hours.
You can view the open shifts by clicking on the Scheduler tab from the main menu and selecting Open Shifts from the drop-down. A list of the open shifts is visible on the next screen.
Click the Filters button on the top-right side of the page to filter shifts by: Client, Post Site, Guard, Date Range (From Date – To Date), Time Range, Show archived data (optional).
Once filters are selected, click Filter to apply. You can now save frequently used filters by clicking the Save Filter button after applying your desired criteria. This saves time when accessing common shift views.
Saved filters can be accessed later via the Saved Filters tab.
Note: The date and time range are not saved with the filter and must be selected manually each time.
The list shows the details of the open shifts and their status, whether they are pending or have been requested by the guards. To approve the guard’s request, simply click on the Pending button next to the guard’s name and confirm.
In case any shift has not been confirmed yet by any of the guards, you can go ahead and assign the shift to specific guards from the Schedule. This makes sure the assigned shifts are always executed.
